Document Description
The project will include the installation of approx. 1,500 linear feet of bike and pedestrian walkway that will be located adjacent to Excelsior Road between Westerly Drive and Woodring Drive. The walkway is planned to be located 8 feet from the edge of the roadway and the walkway itself will be8 feet in width. The route for the pathway runes over Morrison Creek, so a 100-foot pedestrian bridge will span this water body. The proposed pedestrian bridge will be at approx. the same elevation as an existing roadway bridge that crosses Morrison Creek. The prefabricated bridge will be installed on poured abutments beyond the top of Morrison Creek's bank within the 500-year flood zone. The existing 12-inch storm drain crossing Excelsior Road approx. 500 feet south of Morrison Creek will be upsized to a 24-inch storm drain with the project.
