Document Description
The project would construct a new bridge on Old Mountain View-Alviso Road over Calabazas Creek. The replacement bridge would be constructed ont he same alignment as the existing bridge and would consist of a three span bridge approx. 125 feet in length and 52 feet in width. The bridge would include two 12 foot traffic lanes, two 8 foot shoulders/bike lanes, two 5 foot sidewalks and two 1 foot barriers. The roadway profile on each side of the replacement bridge would be raised slightly to accommodate 100-year flows in Calabaza's Creek and appropriate site distances along Old Mountain View-Alviso Road. Old Mountain View-Alviso Road and the Calabaza's Creek Trail would be closed to vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic for 3-4 months during demolition of the bridge and approach road, and construction of the new bridge and approach roadway.
