Document Description
Lind Marine, Inc. is proposing to reactivate Drydock 4 at 1250 Nimitz Avenue along the Mare Island waterfront as part of their existing marine-related facility which provides maintenance, repair and overhaul services to marine vessels and equipment including tugboats, barges and smaller vessels. The drydock is a narrow basin or vessel that can be flooded to allow a load to be floated in, then drained to allow that load to come to rest on a dry platform. Drydocks are used for the construction, maintenance, and repair of ships, boats, and other water craft. The applicant's intent is to expand their existing business and utilize the drydock to service its own vessel fleet as well as provide service to other vessels similar in size. The proposed hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and occasional evenings and Saturdays.
