Document Description
The project involves implementation of the Otay River Restoration Project HMMP to restore over 100 acres of hydrologic and sediment transport processes and native habitats in the Otay River Valley on a roughly 300-acre parcel. The project includes establishment, re-establishment, and rehabilitation of roughly 2.74 acres of upstream habitat; 63.31 acres of onsite habitat; 10.88 acres of primary channel habitat; 4.09 of secondary habitat; 53.75 acres of terraces; 2.36 acres of seasonal ponds; and 31.96 acres of upland habitat. There is also an additional 63.89 acres of upland habitat; enhancement proposed as an optional project component that may be carried out in the future by other entitles. It is anticipated the project would begin in the summer/fall 2016. Completion would take approx. 5 years including a 5-year maintenance, monitoring, reporting phase.
