Document Description
The project proposes to install one (1) automated pay machine (APM) in an existing parking lot.
The project proposes to install one solar-powered automated pay machine Luke II unit at the turnabout near the DG walkway, or to install it at the location of the current payment kiosk, but improve signage. For the first option, the Interpretive Panel will be moved over, bench relocated, and vegetation removed, leaving the sycamore tree. The APM will require a 3'x3' footprint with a depth of 18-24 inches for a poured concrete foundation. Bollards will be placed at each corner of the APM that can be approached by traffic. Bollards should be a minimum of 36" above grade, set into concrete with anchoring bars at least 24" in depth, or anchored to a concrete slab. The APM location will be out of the walkway but compliant with accessibility guidelines. Improved signage will be included to ensure one way traffic for visitor safety.
