Document Description
The purpose of the project is to install additional drain pipes with valves in the embankments around four of the dams within the Madrone Channel Recharge Facility to reduce the risk of blockages within the pipes during storm flows. At each of the four dams, the embankment will be excavated approximately 8-10 feet upstream of the dam and 6 inches above the channel bottom. The HDPE pipe and valve will be installed at each dam and the trenches back-filled with engineered levee fill. Rock will be placed over each pipe and a catwalk will be installed to allow access to the valve wheel.
