Document Description
The request is for a Demolition and Reclamation Permit to fully demolish and restore the site of the former Hercules Gas Processing Plant. The proposed project represents the final stage of restoration and remediation at the Site. The purpose of the work is to remove all remaining site features, remediate PCB-impacted soils, reduce erosion, and minimize downstream transport of any residually remaining, historically impacted sediment. Following the removal of PCB-impacted soils, the site would be regraded to resemble the current natural conditions observed in similar canyons in the area. Site restoration would be conducted in conformance with an approved Habitat Restoration and Wetland Mitigation Plan.
