Document Description
The project is limited to the construction of an irrigation intake on the south bank of the Rock Creek just north of a farm road along the edge of an existing walnut orchard. The intake will utilize a 42" diametter galvanized steel pipe that will daylight into a concrete headwall that will be cast in place essentially flush with the existing bank. Approximately 18-cubic yards of dirt will be excavated from the bed and bank with excavatiors and backhoes to accommodate the intake structure. Excess dirt will be hauled off-site. Grouted rock slope protection (rip-rap) will be used to stabilize the channel bed, bank, and fill slopes both upstream and downstream of the intake structure.
