Document Description
The Project is limited to the repair of a previously existing 8 inch diameter refined products delivery pipeline. The repair will require excavation within Ohlone Creek to daylight, repair, and protect the pipeline. Approximately 54 linear feet shall be excavated to 4.5 feet in depth in a Project area approximately 330square feet. The pipe shall be coated with protective spray and wrapped with a Kevlar blanket. Approximately, 20.35 cubic yards of stone and 8.8 cubic yards of boulders shall be installed to prevent scour.

The project as referenced in this document is statutorily exempt from CEQA under the Pipeline Projects: Application of Division, due to the following: the project is less than eight miles in length, the length of disturbance is less than one-half mile at any given time, the pipeline is not within eight miles of a disturbance is less than one-half mile at any given time, the pipeline is not within eight miles of a pipeline that has been exempted previously in the past 12 months, the project is not solely for the excavation of soil contaminated with hazardous material, plans have been prepared as requried by law by the applicant undertaking the project in advance to the appropriate agencies in the event of an emergeny evacuation of public close to the proximity of the project.
