Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
15061(b)(3)
Reasons for Exemption
After reviewing the project and its setting, the Environmental Coordinator for the County of Tuolumne has determined that the project is categorically exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15061 (b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines because CEQA only applies to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. Where it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment, the activity is not subject to CEQA. This project involves a General Plan Amendment and Zone Change of a 0.12 acre project area to facilitate a resubdivision of a developed area containing a portion of an existing residence, a propane tank, and paved parking areas. The project will not affect biological or cultural resources. Therefore, it can be seen with certainty that the project would not result in a significant impact on the environment.
