Document Description
DWR proposes to install two additional gated pipes (72-inch pipes fitted with manually-operated slide gates) and replace 1-36 inch pipe through an existing levee on San Joaquin River National Wildlife Refuge. The proposed project will provide improved river floodplain connectivity for over 2,500 acres of restored floodplain habitat along the west side of the San Joaquin River between its confluence with the Tuolumne River and Highway 132. This action will promote inflow and drainage that preserves and supports wildlife habitat values at the Refuge.
