Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed LSAA No. 1600-2020-0133-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Jake Salter. The project consists of six encroachment(s): One encroachment is for water diversion from an unnamed tributary to the South Fork Eel River. Water is diverted for domestic use. Work for the water diversion will include facility retrofit, use, and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. One encroachment is for the removal of existing water diversion infrastructure. One encroachment is to install an engineered French drain on a highly · modified Class Ill stream channel and to recontour a portion of the stream bed, bank, and channel. Work for this encroachment will include excavation, stream recontouring, placement of French drain infrastructure, and backfilling with gravel. Two encroachments are to decommission dirt ford crossings and restore the stream channel. One encroachment is to upgrade an undersized culvert. Work for this encroachment includes excavation, undersized culvert removal, replacement with a new properly sized culvert, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.
