Document Description
Project proposed involves the installation of WAVE inductive charging stations at Lancaster City Park and on Sierra Highway at existing bus stop locations. The wireless charging station is comprised of the "primary pad" embedded in the roadway and the "primary enclosure" which is above ground and contains all the power electronics for the system. The installation of the charging station requires a connection with a 480 volt, 3-phase grid feed. The installation includes site engineering and construction to connect the Primary Enclosure to the Grid Feed and the Primary Enclosure to the Gird Feed and the Primary Enclosure to the Primary Pad. The WAVE system sends the power through a conduit to the primary pad to create a magnetic field that transfers 250kVA of power over an air gap to a secondary receiver ont he bottom of vehicle. This in turn charges the bus batteries.
