Document Description
The Proposed Plan identifies continued operation of an existing soil vapor extraction (SVE) system and excavation of soil at Environmental Restoration Program (ERP) Site SS039, at Beale Air Force Base (AFB) and provides the rationale for tis effort. The Proposed Plan documents the proposed remediation of sil impact impacted by volatile organic compounds (VOCs)including tetrachloroethene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE), among others. The ultimate goal for Site SS039 is to achieve site closure with unlimited use/unrestricted exposure (UU/UE) after SVE is discontinued and remaining contaminated soil removed. The project is expected to commence in October 2015 and continue for approximately two years with excavation work only occurring during the dry seasons.
