Document Description
DFD staff will repair erosion damage by placing rip rap in the v-ditch located along the access road leading from SBPP to the SBPP Surge Tank. The access road is approximately 0.7 miles long. The v-ditch is six to ten feet wide and runs the length of the access road. Approximately 800 cubic yards of rip rap will be applied to one-half acre of v-ditch along the access road. The rip rap will be applied as follows: Rip rap will be loaded into end dump trunks using a front end loader, a water truck will wet the eroded area down to aid in compaction, a grader will push rip rap into the eroded v-ditch, the water truck will spray rip rap once all rock has been placed, a sweeper will be used to remove all dirt and debris from main roadway. RIp rap will be acquired form the borrow site located north of Skinner Fish Facility. The entire project is within DFD right of way.
