Document Description
The project includes the construction of a force main sewer line to convey wastewater currently treated at the Prologis wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) to the Agency's sewer system. The proposed project would redirect all flows from the Prologis WWTP into the Agency's wastewater collection system adding approx. 1.7 million gallons per day flow to the Agency's Regional Water Recycling Plant No. 4 (RP-4). In addition, the proposed Project would construct new recycled water pipelines to convey recycled water to the CSI and to the Auto Speedway from RP-4.
The new pipelines would supply up to 3,500 gallons per minute of recycled water to meet local landscape irrigation demands and for industrial equipment usage. The pipelines would be constructed mainly through existing roadway rights-of-way in a highly industrial area. The purpose of the project is to connect new customers to the Agency's recycled water system, reducing groundwater demands in the service area. In addition, the project serves to consolidate wastewater treatment service in the area.
