Document Description
The proposed Waterman + Baseline Neighborhood Transformation Specific Plan would establish a land use and development framework, identify needed transportation and infrastructure improvements, and serve as a marketing tool for attracting developers to key sites and for boosting economic development. The proposed project is intended to encourage residential and neighborhood-serving commercial establishments on major corridors such as Baseline Avenue and Waterman Avenue, direct the creation of employment generating uses to the southern portion of the Plan area closer to the Civic Center and Downtown, and protect and enhance the existing residential neighborhoods.
