Document Description
Replace the outdated and failing vault restroom located in the main parking lot at Castle Rock State Park with a new single vault CXT restroom to improve visitor services and for health and safety concerns. New vault restroom site will be adjacent to the existing site. Work will:
- Remove an Elderberry Tree and grade new site for accessibility access, including an accessible pathway from the parking lot to the new restroom building;
- Excavate approximately 5'6" x 14', 7 1/2" x 4'4" for the new vault and pour concrete slab for new restroom structure;
- Install the new CXT single vault restroom;
- Grade an accessible pathway 36" x 6' in length with hard packed gravel surface;
- Pour a concrete slab approximately 2' x 3' x 3" next the entrance of the trailhead and place a trash container;
- Dismantle the existing vault toilet;
- Use a jack hammer to remove the existing concrete slab;
- Fill vault with excavated soil from new site build and concrete rock from demolished slab;
- Restore soil area to pre building standards and duffed over with native materials.
