Document Description
The project would make changes to the lighting, heating/cooling system, and Solar Photovoltaic System at the Caltrans District 11 state owned office building to improve the energy efficiency. The work will upgrade and optimize the building automation system, add outside temperature and humidity sensor(s), install ultra-sonic flow meters to the chilled water piping mains, add kilowatt meters to each chiller; retrofit the fluorescent lighting system including fixtures and lighting controls throughout the building and grounds with LED lighting; install occupancy and phot sensors throughout the building as necessary; replace two 500 ton chillers with 300 ton chillers including resizing or replacing associated pumps, as necessary; remove and replace the two Cooling Towers; install a new roof top Solar Photovoltaic System and then remove the old non functions system.
