Document Description
The Project will involve reconnecting Ash Creek with its floodplain by eliminating ditched and entrenched channels, and redirecting flow to historic remnant channels. At the most upstream portion of the project reach, a channelized section of Ash Creek will be "plugged" with locally harvested earthen fill and flow will be directed into historic remnant channel. The "pond and plug" technique of excavating interconnected ponds and using the cut material as fill will be used to fill the existing incised flow path of Ash Creek from this point downstream for distance of approximately one mile.
