Document Description
Project Goal is fuel reduction in developed and community interface zones of Topanga State Park. Primary objective is to remove non-native trees (pine, eucalyptus and California pepper) invading native chapparal that interfaces state park facilities, roads, and the community of Topanga. Non-native trees not in wild land interface would be evaluated as part of the Cultural Landscape. Trees that are determined to be part of culural landscape will be thinned to reduce fuel component of trees. Secondary objective is thinning out native vegetation dead biomass and "limbing" tree branches up to six (6) feet off the ground within hundred (100) feet of park facilities and fifty (50) feet of roadways.
