Document Description
The project is limited to the construction of an off-channel coho rearing pond on Sugar Creek, below HW 3, and upstream from the Post Assisted Woody Structures installed in 2014 under a different Agreement. The pond will create additional off channel winter and summer rearing habitat to increase the salmonid rearing capacity in lower Sugar Creek. The connection of this existing pond to the channel of Sugar Creek will provide thermal refugial habitat for summer rearing and velocity refugial habitat during winter, which directly addresses the gaol of enhanced tributary rearing in the Klamath River Basin for SONCC coho salmon.
