Document Description
The proposed project will maximize the existing capacity and provide redundancy to the biosolids handling system at WRP7 by constructing a new facility to replace the existing facility that is over 16 yrs old. The new facility will be constructed on CVWD land within the existing and fenced WRP7 site. The proposal includes a new building structure that will house these improvements: new gravity belt thickener units; sludge dewatering units; polymer blender units; polymer storage; sludge grinders; conveyor and truck scales. A below grade concrete structure is also proposed and will house a sludge holding tank and a pump station. An odor control bio-filter vessel will be installed adjacent to the below grade concrete structure. The proposed biosolids upgrade project will consolidate all biosolids handling operations under one building; thus resulting in labor and operational efficiency by locating it in closer proximity to related treatment processes.
