Document Description
Permittee proposes to remove an existing natural bottom low flow stream crossing with concreted approaches across Gobernador Creek on the Cate School property, and replace it with a new 70 foot long single vehicle wide, clear span bridge. The new bridge will be located 220 feet upstream from he existing crossing, and on the Gillie Ranch property. The bridge will be installed on concrete abutment supported by spread footing, and elevated to provide a minimum of 2 feet of free board above the creek's 100 year flood elevation. Large rocks will be placed 4 feet below the existing channel bottom at the base of the abutments, to protect against scour or incision that may occur or potential issues with an existing head-cut downstream of the Project location. A layer of native soil and live willow poles shall be placed above the rocks. The existing crossing will be decommissioned by removing the concrete approaches, filling the excavated slopes to conform to the existing banks, and vegetating the exposed banks with native species.
