Document Description
Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2015-0027-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to City of Grass Valley.
Installation of 10 foot wide protective headwalls for the upstream and downstream ends of the 48 inch diameter Matson Creek culvert between 970 and 980 East Main Street in Grass Valley.
Excavation of road and fill above collapse point of culvert to facilitate reshaping of collapsed center section of culvert. The road base fill will then be replaced, compacted and repaved.
Lining of the bottom of the culvert with a 3 inch layer of concrete to repair rusted out sections of the pipe.
In order to improve stream flows and minimize future flooding risks, remove excessive invasive non-native vegetation (Himalayan blackberries) from within the creek channel and approx. 5 feet up each bank of the creek for a distance of 100 feet upstream of the culvert inlet.
