Document Description
The proposed project consists of levee improvements at various reaches along approximately 5.9 miles of the Western Pacific Interceptor Canal West Levee east of SR 70, to meet current Urban Levee Design Criteria for 200-year flood protection. Seepage and slope stability deficiencies would be corrected in eight levee reaches, totaling approximately 2 miles of the West Levee. Proposed levee remediation measures include cutoff walls, drained berms, a stability berm, and landside fill. A new landside access road would also be constructed along the approximately 3.3-mile northern portion of the West Levee for future flood operations and maintenance activities.
