Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement no. 1600-2015-0181-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to the project applicant, Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy as represented by Kristal Davis Fadtke.
The project is limited to the property adjacent to Ulatis Creek described above. The purpose of the project is to control invasive and non-native vegetation and restore native trees, shrubs, and grasses with a focus on riparian vegetation. The completion of the project will result in an increase in ecological function while maintaining agricultural practices and flood capacity.
The project can be separated into three activities: site preparation, site restoration, and maintenance. Site preparation will involve grazing, preliminary herbicide application for access, tree removal, ground preparation, weed seed irrigation, and weed seed herbicide application. Site restoration will involve Arundo donax herbicide application, understory plant establishment, tree and shrub establishment, and irrigation installation. Maintenance will consist of irrigation techniques, herbicide control treatments, mowing, and various long-term maintenance activities to insure performance criteria.
