Document Description
Georgia Pacific Gypsum, LLC proposes to upgrade its Antioch Wharf on the San Joaquin River in Antioch. The Project would include the following: 1) Remove five existing timber breasting and mooring dolphins and two wooden walkways; 2) Install four new 72-inch-diameter hollow-core steel monopiles (each with a cone fender system) driven to about 65 feet below the mudline, and nine new walkway segments (connecting the new mooring dolphins) supported by six 24- to 30-inch-diameter steel-pipe piles driven to about 40 to 50 feet below the mudline; and 3) Repair one timber piling and 12 stringers on the wharf. All activities would be carried out from offshore (no uplands) over an approximate 8-week construction period.
