Document Description
The objective of the project is to reduce the potential for environmental and public health and safety risks associated with unstable slopes and exposure to waste, and to reduce the potential for groundwater and surface water contamination. Approximately 10,000 cubic yards of waste from a former burn dump will be excavated and removed or reconsolidated. Excavation and waste removal will occur until exposed soils meet cleanup criteria and reconsolidated waste will be covered with at least 24 inches of clean soils to minimize erosion and infiltration. Native seed will be applied to help stabilize final cover soil.
