The project site is vacant and located in an urban area. The project proposes the development of two four-story hotels and splitting the property into 4 lots. A maximum of 192 hotels rooms would be developed on the project site. The applicant is requesting a conditional use permit for the development of the two four-story hotels, a tentative parcel map to split the lot into 4 parcels, a floor area ratio (FAR) exemption to build the Springhill Suites hotel above the permitted 0.5 FAR and a height exemption to allow the "future hotel" to be 10 feet higher than 65 foot height limit.
