Document Description
The Proposed Project will mine to a depth of 250 feet below ground surface with 2 horizontal:1 vertical slopes similar to its current approvals and convey instead of truck, material by conveyor to its existing Foothill Plant to the south incorporating adequate landscaped berms/setbacks, ground water monitoring, and dust a control measures. The on-site processing plant will be removed and trucking adjacent to residential areas eliminated which will reduce air and noise impacts. The excavated basin will be reclaimed by Holliday and utilized by the Pomona Valley Protective Association (PVPA) for ground water spreading (conservation) and flood control for the benefit of local and regional public water users. PVPA is a consortium of local water purveyors (including the City of Upland) whose purpose is to conserve local waters for the benefit of local users.
