Document Description
The Riverside County Flood Control and Conservation District proposes the construction, maintenance, and operation of a segment of the existing South Norco interim earthen flood control channel, as well as construction, maintenance, and operation of two underground storm drain pipes, S-1 and S-5, that would connect from the South Norco Channel. The primary objective of the project is to stabilize and increase flow capacity of the existing earthen South Norco Channel. The proposed method of stabilization is to convert the earthen channel to a concrete-lined and cobble-bottom channel, thereby eliminating the erosion problems currently experienced within the channel and downstream areas, and reducing the frequency and need of sediment and plant material removal.
