Document Description
CDFW is issuing a permit to Moss Landing marine Laboratory - Marine Pollution Studies Lab (MLML) pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 2081 (a) for fish sampling under the Environmental Protection Agency's National Coastal Condition Assessment. The Section 2081(a) permit authorizes the MLML to incidentally take Longfin Smelt, Chinook Salmon, and Coho Salmon during the course of its sampling subject to terms and conditions set forth in the permit. The purpose of this survey is to assess the ambient health of CA's bays and estuaries. The MLML will survey multiple stations from San Diego to Big Lagoon with incidental take of listed species authorized only from SF Bay to Big Lagoon. Covered methods of take are limited to a 16 ft. otter trawl net with 3.81 cm stretch body mesh and 3.5 cm stretch bag mesh.
