Document Description
BART proposes to replace certain features and improve access to and from the existing Downtown Berkeley station. The Project would replace the Downtown Berkeley station rotunda with a new main entrance structure and design/construct various improvements for the five secondary entrances. In addition, the project would replace some sidewalk surface materials, improve pedestrian-oriented lighting and landscaping with low-impact stormwater treatments, provide covered waiting areas for local and Transbay AC Transit bus stops, install wayfinding signage, improve bicycle parking and disability access, and integrate public art.
