Document Description
Approval of agreement GEO-14-004 with Ormat Nevada, Inc. for a $631,620 grant to drill two monitoring wells, collect baseline data, and conduct a flow test for up to 30-days using two existing geothermal wells with the monitoring wells used to check for any connectivity between the cold groundwater and geothermal reservoir. On Feb. 15, 2005, GBUAPCD approved a Negative Declaration for the Upper Basalt Geothermal Exploration Project (SCH # 2004112073), which addressed the flow test to be conducted for this project. On December 23, 2014, Mono County filed a Notice of Exemption for the groundwater monitoring wells to be drilled for this project.
