Document Description
Alpine County is proposing to replace the existing Dixon Mine Road Bridge (No. 31C-0002) over Wolf Creek with a new cast-in-place concrete slab bridge. The new bridge would be 25 feet wide by 45 feet long with two travel lanes and a roadway width of 18 feet. The existing bridge is functionally obsolete and structurally damaged and poses a safety hazard to vehicle travel. The project also includes modification of the approaches on Dixon Mine Road and installation of a temporary path with a diversion structure. The creek would be dewatered in the work area, and the path would be used for access by construction equipment and vehicles, property owners, and recreationists (limited) until the new bridge is open. Construction would take 6 months and be completed in one season. Staging would be on private and/or National Forest System land or in County rights-of-way.
