The 2nd Reading for this project includes 1) a Development Code Amendment (DRC2015-00115) to update text related to the proposed Specific Plan Amendment; and 2) IASP Sub-Area 18 Specific Plan Amendment (DRC2015-00040), to develop the existing 160-acre Empire Lakes Golf Course with a proposed mixed-use, high-density residential/commercial development. A maximum of 3,450 residential units and 220,000 sq. ft. of non-residential uses is allowed. Recreation/open space areas and infrastructure to serve the proposed uses would also be provided.
