CDFW has executed a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2014-0193-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to San Bernardino Flood Control District. The project consists of routine maintenance and repair of the Oro Grande Wash (Project). The routine maintenance and repair includes strengthening the earthen trapezoid embankments with portions of rip rap and revetment, vertical concrete channels and reinforced concrete boxes. The Project includes management of non-native vegetation, maintenance and backfill of existing slopes, repair and restoration of the existing channel flow line, maintenance and backfill of existing right-of-way signage, clean up and removal of illegally dumped trash and debris, homeless camps control and vector/rodent controls as needed. The Project area primarily supports non-native vegetation, with native desert scrub vegetation on the banks and uplands outside of the maintenance area. Russian thistle and Saharan mustard dominates the wash.
