Document Description
A temporary emergency Hazardous Waste Permit (Permit) has been granted to DK (Dixion to transfer hazardous waste from a tanker truck into another container. The permit allows for approximately 588 gallons of used antifreeze to be transferred from a tanker truck to a container. The tanker is currently parked at DK Dixon located at 7300 Chevron Way, in Dixon, CA. Upon arrival to the DK DIxon facility, the antifreeze was tested and found to have a flash point of less than 100 degrees fahrenheit. This classifies the waste as ignitable under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). DK Dixon does not have a permit to manage RCRA hazardous waste and the tanker truck does not meet the specifications that would allow it to transport ignitable hazardous waste. Once the hazardous waste is transferred to an appropriate container, it will be transported offsite for proper disposal.
