Document Description
Zone Change No. 14-012 was adopted via Ordinance (Ordinance No. 1746) by the Fontana City Council on July 26, 2016 and the second reading of the Ordinance No. 1746 was held on August 9, 2016 and the associated entitlement applications for Sierra Lakes Commerce Center project which included Tentative Parcel Map No. 19693 (TPM 14-014), Conditional Use Permit No. 14-034, and Design Review Project No. 14-024 went into full effect on August 9, 2016. Zone change No. 14-012 provided a Warehousing Distribution/Logistics Overlay District on two (2) of the five parcels. The two (2) parcels are labeled APN NO. 1119-221-19 and 1119-221-41. The total acreage of two parcels is 4.81 acres. These parcels were not part of the parcels that were included in the Ordinance that established the Warehousing Distribution/Logistics Overlay District. The remaining 3 parcels -1119-241-19, 1119-221-02, 1119-221-44, for the project are already subject to the Warehousing/Distribution/Logistics Overlay District. Zone Change provides consistency between the General Plan land use and Zoning, and therefore allows the two(2) parcels to be developed for high cube warehousing and distribution facility. Tentative Parcel Map No. 19693 to combine five contiguous parcels that are under common ownership into (1) for the proposed development of high cube warehouse and distribution facility. CUP No. 14-034 to permit the construction of a warehouse and distribution facility and to establish conditions of approval and parameters for the development and operations of the project; and Design Review No. 14-024 to approve the site improvements including parking and circulation, conceptual landscaping, and building architecture for the project.
