Document Description
The proposed project is by the Gator by the Bay festival, which will take place at Spanish Landing Park from Thursday, May 7, through Sunday, May 10, 2015. Also, set-up and tear-down of the event will occur at Spanish Landing Park on May 7 and May 10, 2015. The District will provide event sponsorship and financial assistance for the event, a four-day festival that will feature the following: Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and community bands on four stages, shaded dance floors, music workshops, cultural presentations, Cajun and Creole food, cooking demonstration, dance lessons, and entertainment. The event has an expected attendance of over 15,00 people. The event will require the use of 100 parking spaces adjacent to Spanish Landing Park East and West, and additional parking will be available at public parking facilities located near Spanish Landing Park. Since the parking spaces will be reserved for a limited time period, the project will not result in significant impacts related to public parking.
