Document Description
The Bolsa Chica Interpretive Master Plan (2010) describes two dozen interpretive panels to populate the parking lots, public trails and overlooks of the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. By agreement of all parties involved in the development of the Master Plan, the panels and panel supports are being funded by Bolsa Chica's NGOs and the installation (labor and tools) of the panels will be supplied by DFW staff.
The work will not extend beyond property managed by DFW. In some cases, old signs will be removed by DFW staff and replaced by the new panels on or near the old sign locations. The new interpretive panels have a low profile and will greatly enhance the viewer's experience.
