Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2014-0213-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Sutter County.
The project is limited to the replacement of the existing bridge on Pennington Road over the Sutter Butte Canal. The existing bridge will be demolished, removed from the canal and disposed of at a proper facility. The new bridge will be constructed 40-feet long by 31-feet wide with reinforced concrete abutments. The roadway approaches will be widened by 1,610-square feet to accommodate the new structure. Fill will be required along the bank where the existing bridge abutments will be replaced and rock rip-rap will be installed. In-water work will be needed for the removal of the existing pier wall. A sheet piling will be used to temporarily dewater the areas immediately surrounding the portions of the banks where construction will occur.
