Document Description
Eastern Municipal Water District (District) proposes to construct and operate a new Booster Pumping Station (BPS) located on the southwest corner of Redlands Boulevard and Hemlock Avenue in the City of Moreno Valley. The new facility will replace the existing Redlands and Ironwood BPS located on the northwest corner of Redlands Boulevard and Ironwood Avenue, approximately 1,500 linear feet north of the new proposed BPS. The purpose of the Redlands and Hemlock Booster Pumping Station Project is to address safety concerns, deficient capacity, and inadequate access associated with the existing BPS. The Proposed Project will address deficiencies with the existing BPS pumping from the 1900 Pressure Zone (PZ) to the 2080 PZ by replacing the existing BPS and providing adequate discharge pipeline capacity in the 2080 PZ to convey water to the existing 2080 PZ transmission and distribution pipeline system. The Proposed Project includes the demolition of the existing facility and associated appurtenances; construction of a new facility and related appurtenances; and installation of approximately 1,500 linear feet of 24-inch diameter discharge pipeline within public right-of-ways.
