Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed an amendment for Lake and Stream bed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2013-01 00-R6, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, KB Home or as represented by Scott Hansen. The amended project is limited
to the following components: 1) concrete lining the channel bottom below the existing Squaw Mountain Road bridge, 2) connecting the concrete-lined channel to the existing bridge abutments, 3) placing ¼-ton un-grouted riprap with No. 2 backing on the upstream and downstream sides of the concrete-lined portion of the channel, 4) installing riprap slope protection on the northwest slope, and 5) placement of rip-rap at two locations along the tributary side channel. Construction of the amended project will temporarily impact 0.211 acre and permanently impact 0.274 acre of streambed and stream-associated habitats. The amendment decreased project impacts and compensatory mitigation has been modified to include contribution of funds for 0.51 acre of stream bed and riparian habitat to a CDFW-approved mitigation entity, contribution of funds to the RCRCD for rehabilitation and long-term management
of 0.32 acre within the Coldwater Canyon Creek watershed, and onsite restoration of 0.21 acre including a 3-year monitoring and maintenance period. The amendment extended the project term through December 31, 2020.
