Document Description
CDFW is intending to execute a Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (#1600-2016-0274-R5) to the project applicant, City of Carpinteria Public Works. The project includes the demolition of the existing Carpinteria Avenue Bridge and in its place, the construction of a new three span bridge supported on pile foundations. The existing bike path will be reconstructed and extended. Rock slope protection will be used to provide scour protection from storm flows and then covered with soil to facilitate habitat restoration. Construction will take place over two seasons. Equipment proposed for use includes dozers, wheeled loaders, back hoes, excavators, pile drilling equipment, cranes, hoe ram, water trucks, dump trucks, roller compactor, paving equipment, air compressor, and a motor-grader.
