Document Description
The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board is issuing a 401 Water Quality Certification for the subject Project. The Project includes constructing a new 2.6-mile-long levee approximately 1,000 feet west of the existing Yuba River South Levee (YRSL) terminus and extend southeast to the north side of Hammington-Smartville Road to meet the United States Army Corps of Engineers criteria for a 200-year flood risk reduction. A 3-toot wide cutoff wall will extend up to approximately 70-feet deep, as measured from the levee foundation elevation.
