Document Description
The project is the 2015-2023 Housing Element, which establishes specific goals, objectives, policies and actions relative to the provision of housing for all economic segments of the City consistent with state housing law. The City considered three alternatives for siting housing to meet its regional housing needs assessment (RHNA) allocation of low and very-low income housing, and the City Council ultimately selected Alternative 1 (Santa Maria Church site). The City specifically included in the Housing Element Update a program (Action 3.E) that will ultimately meet the remaining need for 48 units by zoning a 2.4 acre portion of the Alternative 1 site at up to 20 units per acre.
