The objective of the proposed project is to expand wireless broadband services in rural, coastal areas of San Mateo County. The proposed project would consists of a total of 10 antennae, pole extenders, and associated equipment, two on each of five node poles (all existing utility poles); 14.2 miles of fiber-optic cable (12.8 miles across approximately 308 existing utility poles and 1.4 miles underground); guy wires and anchors on up to 70 existing utility poles, and potentially replacing up to 14 existing utility poles. The proposed project would within a public ROW or existing utility easement along Hwy 1, within unincorporated San Mateo County. The proposed project alignment would also traverse an existing 0.5-mile utility easement in Ano Nuevo State Park.
