Document Description
This project includes two major components located in Creekside Marsh: replacing an existing single-bore culvert with a larger box-type culvert to increase the tidal prism in the southeastern portion of Creekside Marsh and enhancing some bare areas within the marsh. The project vicinity is shown in Figure 1; the current configuration of the marsh is in Figure 2. The project initially included digging new channels in the marsh to convey the larger volume of water, but regulators suggested that it would be better to enlarge the culvert and allow the channels to adjust in response to the removal of the geomorphic constraint (i.e., the existing undersized culvert).
